“Livin” by the Book” – Psalms 119:11

(Big band Latin sound)

When we go through trials and tribulations – temptations even come into our lives.  We have times of being in the desert places waiting for the mountaintops again, praying and believing in His word that He is going to pull you through.  So when trials, frustrations and even tribulations come, we know we can Run to the Rock of Ages!  Living by the Book – it will never fail you!

“ Vintage Wine” - Daniel 7:13-14

If you like the sound of the Irish, this song has the flavor.  This song is about a man that had everything he ever wanted when it came to riches.  But there was still no peace in his life, until one day when he found the Lord.  He then could share his newfound riches with his granddaughter.  He knew she could never lose the wealth of eternal life and with material gains she could.  I know that the true Vintage wine is our Lord Jesus Christ!  He knew his name and with his fame came myrrh, frankincense and gold, A crown of thorns upon his head and for silver He was sold.

“Raging River” - 2 Samuel 22:2-7, 2 Thessalonians 3:16

(Gospel with R&B mix)

This song came to me in stages – I had a word come to me one day while sitting in church listening to a sermon: “You are going to stand in the midst of a raging river and hold on to My peace.”  I thought to myself – Oh no, what am I going to go through now!  No matter how deep the river or how consumed we feel while experiencing life’s problems, we can rest assure that we can hold on to His peace and He will keep us from all harm.

“Coming Home” – Luke 15:11-32

(Smooth Ballad Sound)

This song has so much meaning to me- I could tell you the story but I believe the song speaks for itself.  Always know that no matter how far we walk away from God, He is always there to accept us back into his arms again.  This song is about love accepting a person back that fell deep in sin and not only disappointed God but friends and family as well.

“Cherubim” – Ezekiel 1-3

(Upbeat with a pop mix)

I’ve always been interested in the Cherubim’s – The face of a man, an eagle, a lion and an ox.  In several scriptures in the Bible it speaks about these wonderful angels.  In Psalms 18:10 it says He mounted the cherubim and flew; he soared on the wings of the wind.  In II Samuel 22:11 He mounted the cherubim and flew; He soared on the wings of the wind.  In Ezekiel he speaks of the cherubim coming down in a windstorm out of the north with flashing lightning and surrounded by a brilliant light.  Then he saw the Glory of the Lord – The Lord gave Ezekiel a word – He said; Son of man, I am sending you to a rebellious nation.  He said; speak my words to them whether they listen or fail to listen.  Sometimes the Lord does the same to you and I – (Make sure it’s the Lord, not yourself telling you to do this).  We have to go to our closest friends, family members, etc. and sometimes tell them that they are not living right.  You might say - I love you, God loves you – I don’t want to see you destroy your life.  We take the chance of losing friends and family because of sharing the Word with them.  But it is better to say something because you never know when one may lose their life to an everlasting Hell.  Heaven is our goal and we are responsible to share “The Light” with those we bump shoulders with.  Be strong and of good courage!  Always show mercy and love.  Never point your finger – you will have four more pointing back at you.  We are not here to judge – but instead to bring honor to a Wonderful God.

“Jesus can do Anything” - Mark 10:46

(Praise & Worship)

I wrote this song teaching a Sunday school class.  This song we sing as a praise and worship chorus in my home church.  No matter what happens in our life, no matter the circumstances we have to keep our eyes focused on the face of Jesus!  He can do anything! Really He can!

Just trust in Him!

“Holy”

(Country Pop)

I was in prayer when this song came to my mind.  In fact, it was New Years Eve 1993 when I saw a vision of The Throne Room.  I was searching for the Lord in this vision and crying “Holy”, and then His spirit filled the room.

“Set the Captives Free”

(Praise & Worship Ballad)

This song was given to me all at once.  I believe it was a special word for a dear friend of mine, “Dr. Mark Wallace”.  Soar like an eagle!

“Love, Joy, Peace” – Galatians 5:22-23

(Blues)

I was teaching on the Fruits of the Spirit when this song arrived.  When reading the scriptures you can see why a lot of us are not experiencing Peace, Joy, Love, etc. in our lives.  When we are holding on to our sinful natures like idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, jealousy, fits of rage, sexual immorality, discord, self-ambition, dissension, factions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, drugs, etc.  Paul’s final comment on the acts of the sinful nature is stern and forceful.  Any so-called Christians who engage themselves in these types of activities are shut out of the Kingdom of God.  They do not possess eternal Salvation (Galatians 5:21, 1 Corinthians 6:9).  Contrasted to the acts of the sinful nature is a single-minded lifestyle called “The fruit of the Spirit”.  This is produced in God’s children as they allow the spirit to so direct and influence their lives to destroy sin’s power, especially the acts of the sinful nature, and walk in fellowship with God.

The Fruits of the Spirit includes:

  1.  Love

  2. Joy

  3.  Peace

  4. Patience

  5.  Kindness

  6. Goodness

  7.  Faithfulness

  8.  Gentleness

  9. Self-control

“We Stand with Jesus”

(Militant Song)

I wrote this song driving home from Anchorage, I wanted to write something firm and solid for the Christians call and walk today.  Are we ready and are we willing to lay down our lives and sacrifice it all for Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.  Let us be true soldiers for Him – Always be ready!  Always have your mind clear and ears open to His calling today!
