Today, Satan works to paint a false, misleading and distorted picture of Israel
in the minds of people. He does this to discourage their desired travel to the
Land of the Bible. He tries to implant and spread fear in the hearts of people
to block their joy, acquirement of knowledge and to abort God’s plan with regard
to Israel. He works hard through the News Media, using TV with distorted and
exaggerated portrayals of conditions there.
Notice that there are far more dangerous and explosive situations of crime and
violence existing in France, England, Hong Kong, Ireland, China and other
places. Yet tourism continues to these countries at an all time high. If one or
two Israelis or Palestinians get injured or killed in Israel it is blown up in
the media comparable to an international war. When the same thing occurs in our
country or in one of our major cities it is almost unnoticed.
The violent incidents you see on the news in Israel, rock throwing, etc. is
isolated. We in the United States see this every day, (even in our own local
communities), without any interruption to our own lives. These are police
situations as in our country.
THE ISRAELI GOVERNMENT AND TOURIST DEPARTMENT WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOW OR
PERMIT AMERICAN TOURISTS TO GO INTO ANY AREA OF ISRAEL THAT IS POTENTIALLY
DANGEROUS. Israel is a country of multiple cities and towns just like here in
the United States. We would not advise foreign tourists to go into the Watts
area of Los Angeles during a time of riots.
Security is better in Israel than in any country of the world including the
United States. You will feel safe and secure at all times during your stay. You
will tour specific areas only. I have traveled to Israel many times even during
times described by American TV as volatile. I have never witnessed or
experienced anything that gave me the slightest reason to be concerned for my
safety. I have walked the streets of Jerusalem at midnight in total safety and
peace without any fear.
BY WAY OF COMPARISON: In 1998 there were only 70 murders in all of Israel with
4.5 million people. Compare that to U.S. cities with less population. Los
Angeles, 739 murders, Chicago, 691, Houston, 440. (Check the figures for the
city nearest you.) Israel’s capital city, Jerusalem, had 17 murders in 1998. Our
capital city, Washington, D.C. had 369.
Neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians want any harm to come to an American
Tourist since both receive enormous revenues from tourism. Tourism is Israel’s
#1 industry. The Israeli Government and the Palestinians make sure that
Americans are secure and enjoy their stay. If there is the slightest possibility
of any conflict in a particular area we will not go there. The Israeli
Government would not permit us to do so.
YOU WILL BE SAFER IN ISRAEL THAN YOUR OWN REGION OF THE UNITED STATES
